Journey Elementary

This young lady was our #GoodNewsCallOfTheDay today. She has been working hard on her writing - proving to herself that she CAN do it! She has been a great role model for mask-wearing and is a great person to be around. She is friendly and always ready with a smile!

This young man was nominated by Ms Rieger for the #GoodNewsCallOfTheDay for being a great friend. Today in PE, instead of winning a race, he stopped to check on someone from another team who had fallen. A great example of leadership, kindness and sportsmanship! #ProudPrincipal

Mrs. Feeldy nominated her entire class for the #GoodNewsCallOfTheDay after this comment from a substitute, “EVERYONE worked hard. Everyone was kind. Everyone followed directions. A great class!” #ProudPrincipal

This young man was our #GoodNewsCallOfTheDay from Mrs. Martin’s class. He is kind to others, helps friends in line and has been working really hard in class!

These young ladies were the #GoodNewsCallOfTheDay from Mrs. Wieking’s Class. They took time from their day to interact with a Distance Learner over Zoom to make sure the student felt connected to friends at school.

This young man was our #GoodNewsCallOfTheDay. He was quick to ask Mr. S to be his reading buddy when he came into the room this morning. He read him two books and showed him all the hard work he has been doing.

This young man was nominated for the #GoddNewsCallOfTheDay by Mrs. Brooks and Ms. Nepodal for his persistence in reading and math! He checks in with facilitators to share what he learned and shares about his love of reading at home.

This young man was nominated for the #GoodNewsCallOfTheDay by Mr. Bullerman. He saved the day by helping with a technology problem that made it possible for all the rest of the classes to have the chance to continue to learn!

This young lady was nominated by Mrs. Rinken for the #GoodNewsCallOfTheDay – she is a hard worker and persists to get her work done. She shows responsibility each day as she completes her tasks and is a great friend to others.

This young lady was nominated by Ms. Rieger for the #GoodNewsCallOfTheDay – she jumps right in being open and ready to learn. She is kind and helps others around her, and is constantly persisting and doing her very best in studio.

This young lady was nominated for the #GoodNewsCallOfTheDay by Miss Monica. She has been asking questions to get to know more about a classmate and to understand him more. She’s respectful, always hardworking and willing to jump in to help a friend in need.

This young man was nominated by Mrs. Martin for the #GoodNewsCalloftheDay. He is a eager to learn and always has a great attitude when faced with a challenging task. He has a growth mindset, loves sharing his learning with the class, and isn’t afraid of making mistakes.

Students in Ms. Rieger’s class were treated to a Book Tasting – books from all different genres were presented and students were able to ‘sample’ books from each to discover new books or genres they may like to read to completion.

These 4 young ladies were nominated by Mrs. Nelson for the #GoodNewsCallOfTheDay. These ladies saw another little learner get hurt, they stayed with her until she could play again. They played together at recess showing that friends are the chocolate chips in the cookie of life!
