Mrs. Berger was SO excited to share the work this young man did while learning at home! Check out the suspension bridge model he built. WOWZA! I spoke with him this afternoon & learned he worked on it for TWO DAYS on this! Isn't that amazing?! #GoodNewsCalloftheDay

A REMINDER: The HSD Child Nutrition Department is modifying it's Grab & Go program to a more convenient method with our new 𝙒𝙚𝙚𝙠𝙡𝙮 𝙂𝙧𝙖𝙗 & 𝙂𝙤 meal schedule!
🍎 Starting the week of May 4th, we will be moving to ᴏɴᴄᴇ ᴀ ᴡᴇᴇᴋ ᴘɪᴄᴋ-ᴜᴘ on WEDNESDAYS ONLY.
🍏 You will be able to pick up 5 breakfast and 5 lunch meals for each child between the ages of 0-18 each Wednesday.
⚠️ To help protect our staff and to make the process smooth please have your trunk or rear door open so staff can place the meals in there.

Mrs. Berger has been so proud of the hard work, dedication & initiative this young man has taken in his work since we've started Distance Learning! Love hearing about kids that are "owning" it and continuing to grow as learners! Keep it up! #GoodNewsCalloftheDay

⚠️ Following Governor Noem’s press conference to present South Dakota’s Back to Normal plan, we want to communicate that the HSD plan for the remainder of the current school year has not changed. We will continue remote learning through the end of the current year. School facilities remain closed through at least May 31st, and playgrounds will remain closed until further notice. The tennis courts will reopen immediately for public use as will the North Middle School track for walking and running. We will continue to communicate changes as they occur.
🔴 This Friday is School Lunch Hero Day, as well as Principal Appreciation Day. We encourage you to share a note of appreciation or a word of thanks with those who have been working so hard to meet the needs of our students.

Had an awesome time connecting with these two learners/siblings for a #GoodNewsCalloftheDay! Their teachers contacted me (separately) about their individual contributions within class Zoom meetings and to celebrate their hard work & leadership since we’ve started Distance Learning!

With her dad working in a critical service area, mom & dad are so proud of how hard this young lady has been working and taking responsibility for her learning & other needs around their house. While we all agree distance-learning is not our favorite, it’s awesome to hear about kids stepping up! #GoodNewsCallOfTheDay

Check out some of the artwork submitted by our learners in celebration of Earth Day! We are up to 1200 AMAZING works of art uploaded to our school Artsonia Gallery. Mrs. Secor couldn’t be prouder of our learners - thoughtful, hardworking, creative young artists!! #LibertyPRIDE
